Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
Independent lab reports for potency, purity, and compliance—posted for every batch we sell.
What is a COA—and why it matters
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a 3rd-party lab report that confirms the chemical profile and safety of a product. For flower, the COA typically includes cannabinoids (like Total THC), moisture/water activity, and contamination screens. We post COAs for each batch sold so you can buy with confidence.
How to read your COA (Harrens Lab layout)
- Strain & Client — Verify the strain name, our shop name, and the test date.
- Batch / Sample ID — Matches the batch on your product label. This is your proof you’re viewing the exact lot.
- Total THC — Reported as a percent by weight. For flower, labs compute: Total THC = (THCa × 0.877) + Δ9-THC.
- Total Cannabinoids — Sum of all detected cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, etc.).
- Moisture / Water Activity — Indicates proper curing & storage. Excess moisture can affect freshness.
- LOD/LOQ — Limits of detection/quantitation. If a compound reads ND (Not Detected), it’s below the instrument’s limit.
Note: Values vary by batch. Always check the batch number and test date printed on your product label.
Where to look on COA reports:
- Summary panel (top-right): Total THC, Total Cannabinoids, Moisture, and “Complete/Pass”.
- Cannabinoids table: Detailed mg/g and % for THCa, Δ9-THC, CBD, CBG, etc.
- Footer: Methods (HPLC), formulas, and accreditation blurb (ISO 17025, etc.).
🌿 Plain English: Don’t trip too hard on THC% alone. The high comes from how it burns and the mix of terps—not just one number.
🔬 Science Talk: Total THC is calculated as (THCa × 0.877) + Δ9-THC. When you spark it, THCa converts into Δ9-THC, and terpenes steer the effects. That’s why the ride feels way bigger than the lab % might suggest.
💬 Real Talk: People say our THCa flower smacks harder than dispensary “medical” bud— but for pennies on the dollar. Fully Farm Bill legal, shipped to your door.

Quick Glossary
- THCa — The acidic precursor to THC in raw flower; converts to Δ9-THC with heat.
- Total THC — (THCa × 0.877) + Δ9-THC ; best single indicator of potency in flower.
- Total Cannabinoids — Sum of all detected cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, etc.).
- LOD/LOQ — Instrument limits for detection/quantitation.
- ND — Not Detected (below LOD/LOQ).
- Moisture/Water Activity — Freshness & curing indicators.
